Today is one of those cold and stormy days
We cannot feel the warmth of the suns golden rays
Or see the brightness of its glorious brilliant light,
We just can’t believe that things again will never be right
It is so dark around us.

But someday the clouds will begin to drift away
We again will hear the joyful laughter of children as they play
We will see the rainbow through the lingering mist above
Someone will warmly embrace us and again we will know love.
The wonder of life surrounds us.

Sometimes things happen that we just don’t understand
And no one knows how it all fit’s into the master plan
But if we’d never faced conflict, we could never truly know peace
And except for pain and sorrow, our joy would never increase
It couldn’t radiate from within us.

We don’t understand or really treasure love until it’s lost
But then we its pricelessness, its value without cost
And when we doubt, we glimpse the true measure of our faith
And we cannot understand trust unless we’ve been betrayed
The gift of today is before us.

Yes, sometimes things happen that we just don’t understand
And we don’t have answers to explain the master plan
There are so many questions In hearts filled with doubt and fears
But in the raging storm, hope is only magnified by tears.
Hope poured out in us.
